Sorgente SGR was established on November 9th 1999 following the introduction in 1998 of the legislation on real estate investment funds in Italy.
On 30 January 2001 Sorgente SGR was authorised to perform investment management activities with an authorization of the Governor of the Bank of Italy.
In 2001 Sorgente was the first SGR to launch a closed-end real estate fund reserved to qualified investors.
Today Sorgente SGR is a national leader in the real estate funds sector with 21 managed funds, an asset under management at 31 December 2010 greater than €2 billion and an excellent track record for the performance of its investment products; the average performance of the managed funds as of December 2011 was greater than 3.0%.
